The white color subtitles look good in black background but i can't read them if the background is white. So is there a way by which i can change the color of subtitles according to the color of background of the video?

So @Dev, VLC is a free and open source media player software developed by the Video LAN Project and is available for all desktop operating systems and mobile platforms. In addition, it is also one of the most used media playing application for desktops and PCs. It provides a very easy to use interface and works very well on all kinds of operating systems. And no matter which media we are watching, we often need to see what the speakers are speaking, in text, either because we don't understand the language they are speaking or maybe they are speaking too fast for us to understand.
And this is where the SRT, or SubRip Text, files come to help. SubRip is a free software program for Windows which extracts subtitles and their timings from various video formats to a text file. Such are files are saved with '.srt' file extension and are the ones that provide the captions to our media, if any. Due to multiple reasons, like yours, or maybe just for additional knowledge, people need to change the color of the captions that appear. And you would be amazed to know that in addition to color, you can even change the font, font size, outline color and many more attributes of the captions. So without any further delay, let's get straight to the method to do so.
1. Open the video for which you want to change the attributes of the captions in the VLC Media Player application.
2. At the top, you will see a few options. Click on the Tools option, which will be the third option from the right.
3. From the menu that appears, click on the Preferences option, which will be the last one.
4. A new window will appear, at the top of which, you will see a few options. Click on the Subtitles / OSD option, which will also be the third option from right.
5. Now, below the Subtitles & On Screen Display Settings heading, you will see a lot of options arranged in three major headings: -
A) On Screen Display heading - from the options under this heading, you can set the position and other attributes of the subtitles.
B) Subtitle Language - from the options under this heading, you can set the preferred language and default encoding of the subtitles.
C) Subtitle effects - from the options under this heading, you will be able to change different attributes of the subtitles, like font, font size, font color, shadow and many more.
6. As you want to change the subtitle color, then click on the Text default color option under Subtitle effects heading and then select the color you want from the color palette and click on OK.
7. Once you are done with changing the attributes of the subtitles, click on the Save option present at the bottom of the window.
*** IF YOU WANT TO GET THE DEFAULT SETTINGS BACK, THEN THE STEPS 1-4 & CLICK ON THE RESET PREFERENCES BUTTON AT THE BOTTOM.

I use a Microsoft laptop and have the Microsoft video player and no such option is available on that. It's so sad.....
I suggest you keep font Algerian, font size big and should also add a text shadow as it would make it stand out.
